Activity program for Slaatta - Geilo Ski school
Every week throughout the winter season, Geilo Ski school offers fun and exciting activities. Join for a family snowshoe trip with tobogganing and campfire or try snowboarding for the first time.

TUESDAYS - Cross country taster at 16.00
Have you always wanted to try cross country skiing? Now you have the chance.
Join us on a “try out” cross country course. It will give you an introduction to the basic technique in classic style. We try the tracks down the Ustedalfjord (lake) as far at the trails permit.
Ski equipment is included; skis, shoes and poles. Your own shoes and backpack can be stored in the ski stall at Slaatta during the lesson. We recommend warm clothes/ excercise clothing, good socks, a hat, extra gloves and a drink. When it gets dark we use headtorches.
NOK 395 per person incl. equipment. From 10 years old. NOTE! Week 7 it starts at 16.45

WEDNESDAYS - Kids slalom race and afterski at 14.00 (HIGH SEASON ONLY)
Join for fun and exciting slalom race and afterski for kids. We start of with a slalom race and afterwards we play games, listen and dance to music and grill marshmallows over the open fire.
The slalom race is held on a green and easy slope so everyone can participate. Everyone gets a medal after the ski race.
Sign up before 12.00 the same day at the latest (minimum 4 participants)
FRIDAYS - Ski adventure at 09.30
This activity is also a great additional day for those who have been participated in the week’s group ski school and who want a fifth (extra) day of exciting skiing and maybe some extra quiet time for mum and dad?
NOK 345 per person. Sign up the day before at the latest (minimum 4 participants)
FRIDAYS- Family snowshoeing at 15.30 (from 5th of Feb at 16.30)
Join us on a snowshoe trip with friends and family!
For thousands of years snowshoeing has been a mode of transportation. Snowshoeing today is a fantastic way to experience this Winter Wonderland and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. We will explore the forest around Slaatta Skisenter and finish off with fun tobogganing. We also bake bread on a stick (or similar) over the campfire and if it’s dark we use head torches.
We adapt the speed and distance in a way that everybody gets a memorable winter experience. You do not need any earlier experience from snowshoeing to join on this tour.

SATURDAYS - Snowboard taster at 14.00
Interested in snowboarding but not sure where to start? Get the taste and join our snowboard taster!
This course will let you get the first feel of snowboarding. It will give you an introduction to the basic moves including stance, balance and control. It takes place on our beginner slope and it’s ideal for adults and children who have never experienced snowboarding before.
The instructor will be able to answer questions you may have about the equipment and technique. Equipment such as snowboard and boots are included in the price.
NOK 395 per person. From 6 years old.

For safety reasons, it’s not allowed to use toboggans and snowracers
